"Laissez le bon temps roulez!"

Another Aunt Louise Mystery...

Want a getaway vacation to a Louisiana plantation B&B?  Virginia Lee provides the perfect vehicle - just open up the cover, and a three-ring circus of entertainment awaits you!  A subtle humor runs simultaneously with the murder plot, and the reader sees everything through the eyes of the heroine, Aunt Louise, who is so delightfully human: she talks to her cats, enjoys life with friends, can't resist soup and sandwiches or a glass of bourbon on the rocks and, in the middle of the commotion, climbs into bed for her afternoon nap.  The momentum never lets down as the reader anticipates detecting which character committed the murder and wonders if the Cajun detective Thibodeaux is capable of figuring everything out but, then, thank God, we have Aunt Louise!

The solution of the mystery is unique, and we get some interesting conclusions about the characters and, of course, about dear, clever Aunt Louise.  Also notable are descriptions of the plantation house, historically accurate information about hurricanes, the cane syrup industry, Cajuns, Creoles, and Louisiana.  Plus a few tales of ghosts of the area.  A great, fun read!
